meh.ndii lagaake aa'ii

I came wearing henna;

bi.ndiya sajaake aa'ii  

I came adorned with a bindi.

meh.ndii lagaake aa'ii bi.ndiya sajaake aa'ii  

Henna on my hands, adorned with a bindi, I came.

chuuRii khankaake aa'ii paayal chhankaake aa'ii

Bangles clashing, anklets jingling, I came.

ab giit milan ke gaana hai gaana hai gaana hai

Now I must sing songs of our union;

mujhe saajan ke ghar jaana hai...

I must go to my husband's home...

guRiyaa.n paTole the mahariya nishaaniya

My dolls, my friends, all the traces of my childhood,

yaad o rahe joRiya

oh, my love, their memory will remain.

bachpan biita jawaanii aa'ii...

But m y childhood has passed, womanhood is upon me...

saajan ka sa.ndesa laa'ii

and it has brought a message from my beloved.

saiyyaa.njii ke sej ko jaake

Going to my husband's bed,

A daughter's fate was written...

reading it, those who loved her wept...

Someone gave birth to this girl,

aur le jaa'e ise koii

and someone will take her away.

saj-dhaj ke aaye baaraatii laa'e ghoRe haathii

A resplendent wedding procession will come; elephants and horses will lead it.

terii shaadii ke mauqe pe

On the occasion of your wedding,

milke sehara gaa'e.nge

as they garland the groom, the crowd will sing,

sadaa suhaagan rahe tuu banno

may you forever remain a wife [suhaagan = specifically, wife to a living husband].

tujhe du'aa'e.n de jaa'e.nge

They'll give you their good wishes and prayers.

Tonight, we

jhuum jhuumke gaana hai

must dance and sing!

I must go to my husband's home.

【舞團公告】舞團班&表演班，4/16開課。
上午9:30~12:00。風雨無阻。
姐妹們終於要開始動腳動手了，一起嗨翻天了。耶~

小小大爺老蘇Candy：
終於訂下開班日期了...
不好意思...這一大陣子老人家我忙壞了
不論幾人老蘇我都一定開班
把大家的凝聚力回來屬於我們的快樂舞蹈空間!!! 老大我迫不及待嚕~

地點；大安區 ...安和路、樂利街口 (捷運六張犁站)
時間：每週六上午9:30~12:00

佌班為舞團培訓班
